Chris sings "O Holy Night" for GAC

Thanks to Vicky for sending me the link to Chris singing "O Holy Night." Now, I normally don't like listening to people try to sing this song. Because some people can really mess it up so I admit, I was a little skeptical before playing the video to watch Chris sing it. But, he did an amazing job. It's really beautiful.

CMT has up an awesome article about Chris celebrating his number 1 hit, "Gettin' You Home." Go here to read the article and see the pictures from the party.

CountryMusicCares is doing something awesome. They have a Christmas Kids charity that they do to help give kids gifts for Christmas. You can find out more about it at www.countrymusiccares.net. Whitney Duncan Fans(@whitduncanfans) started a "10 until 10" where they are going to donate $0.10 for every new follower that they get to Christmas Kids from now until December 10th. A bunch of Fan Tweets have jumped in to participate. Now, I unfortunately cannot participate for financial reasons but I would like to encourage everyone to go to www.countrymusiccares.net and look at the list of people involved and follow all of them. And if you run a fan tweet, maybe you can participate!

Chris celebrates his first #1

Chris took to his twitter last night after his first #1 party to tweet the above picture. He was able to take a break out of his busy touring schedule to celebrate the success of his hit single, "Gettin' You Home." And look below for the cute little cookies they had at the party. The Black Dress Song has definitely made everyone very creative!

Lets go back in time a few months...to CMA Fest 2009

I saw Chris Young back in Nashville during CMA Fest in June. That first day he had a Black Dress party and he let the fans call out what they wanted to hear. He said this party was for them. Well, a few fans said they wanted him to sing the Cowboy song. Now I had never heard it before and Chris started saying how he was bored on the bus one day and wrote this song and then palyed one night. After singing the song he laughed and went, "I never should've written this song." But it's an awesome song and if you watch you will see why.

Want to know what Chris wants for Christmas?

Chris took to his twitter to tell fans what he wanted for Christmas. That's a cool truck. I think I want one too. And he looks good in it. Don't you agree?

KJUG/Visalia, CA helped Chris celebrate his first #1

Adam Jeffries (r) surprises Chris Young with a cake commemorating his No. 1 "Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress)" song at the station's Signature Series Concert.

By now everyone knows that "Gettin' You Home" is Chris' first number one song. At a show in California, a local radio station helped Chris celebrate his number one hit with a cake. Thank you to those that forwarded me this picture found in their Country Aircheck email update.

GAC Special

Chris Young tweeted this picture of him, Nan and Craig Morgan from when they were in Iraq entertaining the troops recently. GAC will air a special on December 10th. Be sure to tune in to see Chris and Craig.

Chris has released his new single!

The follow-up single to Chris Young's #1 hit, 'Gettin' You Home' is the title track to his second album, "The Man I Want To Be." This song almost didn't get cut as Chris said when it was brought to him, he almost didn't listen to it because he felt there were already too many ballads on the album. But as soon as he heard it he knew he had to cut it and made it the title of the cd.

God, I'm down here on my knees
Cause it's the last place left to fall
Beggin' for another chance
If there's any chance at all
That you might still be listenin'
Lovin' and forgivin' guys like me
I've spent my whole life gettin' it all wrong
And I sure could use your help cause from now on

It's a very reflective song and one of my personal favorites. I really think this will be Chris' 2nd number one hit. He's already filmed the video for it and I'm sure it'll be just as amazing as 'Gettin' You Home.' So please go support Chris by requesting "The Man I Want To Be" at your local radio stations.
